Cops kill man wanted for double murder, illegal firearm seized

According to Jamaica Observer (General News), KINGSTON, Jamaica—A man who was being sought in connection with a double murder on Balcombe Drive in Olympic Gardens, St Andrew, on Sunday, was shot dead by the police on Wednesday evening. The dead man, identified as 31-year-old Shaquille Pellington, otherwise called ‘Biggs’, was killed during a police operation in the Wailers community on Penwood Lane in Olympic Gardens. An illegal firearm was reportedly seized during an incident, the police disclosed. Reports reaching Observer Online indicated that around 6:05 pm, a police team went to the community after receiving information that gunmen were seen there. Upon arriving, the team split into different groups and went to different areas of the compound. One of the groups, on reaching the rear of the premises, observed a board door swing open and saw a man dressed in underpants standing at the doorway with a firearm allegedly in his hand.
